The Ghettohood Strikes Again.

So remember this photo?
So Autumnal
Yeah, the white ones and the biggest orange one are gone.

Someone stole them off of our porch Sunday night, while we were at my aunt & uncle's house.

Despite this not being the first time this has happened, I'm just as upset and heartbroken and frustrated and honestly, feeling a little violated. The white ones are my special pumpkins, my favorites every year, and the giant pumpkin was one Kiedis kept hugging and was SO. EXCITED. that we took home with us.

I haven't found any evidence of them being smashed anywhere, but due to the size of the pumpkins they stole I know it had to be at least two people who did it. I mean, I guess I should be grateful that they left us any pumpkins at all, so I still have things to carve today before Beggar's Night (as long as the weather doesn't cancel it), but damnit, I mean seriously? Basically they just stole from little kids. And that's terrible.

Kyle thinks it was one of our neighbors, who watched to know we were gone and then ganked them because -- they thought we had too many? Or they wanted to use them as decor for themselves? He thinks it's suspicious that they left the smaller four -- still one for each member of our family -- but I'm not as sure. He thinks that if people took them to smash them that they'd take all of them, but I think they just grabbed the coolest ones to smash because they were cooler than anything else sitting out on anyone else's porch.

I'm just so over this effing neighborhood.

  1. Ugh. So annoying. When I lived down in DC, I never put out pumpkins because I knew they'd be gone/smashed before I even got back in the house.
