The Year of Fruition: In Review.

While I don't have a super-fun theme for 2013 and the progress we hope to make, I do have some things to say about The Year of Fruition.
All in all, while I don't think we got every single project on our list done, we did make some hefty progress, especially where the Master Suite is involved. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a finished bedroom without (much) construction stuff left in it, and a 95% functional bathroom separate from the kids with one of the most decadent things I think I may ever have at my disposal -- Clementine.
Master Bathroom COMPLETE!

We did actually make some strides toward getting L'Casa refinanced, but in the end we couldn't get far pretty much because banks are still profit-making machines and our little house wasn't worth their time because it isn't worth that much, to them. Which sucks super bad, because refinancing would have been a game changer, but we have to keep plugging away and hope that someone decides to invest in us, in our home -- in our dream.

2012 brought all kinds of unexpected developments for me personally & professionally, and some of that may become evident as 2013 progresses, but I'm not going to count my chickens before they've hatched.

However, there are many a project ahead in 2013 for not only me, but for this house and this blog and our family. I'm equal parts excited and cautious, because the best laid plans and so on and so forth.

But anyway, I highly suspect that this year will be more of a month-by-month layout than anything else, because we still have a lot of little projects around the house to finish up before we tackle anything huge (over the summer, I'm presuming) and as it goes for those large projects, we have to balance between what will be good for our family right now, good for the house when we decide to refinance/move, and ... I don't know, all my fanstastical dreams of absolute awesome of what this house could be.

Priorities are hard, you guys. Especially when EVERYTHING is legit a concern and something that would make our lives better.

Anyway, maybe I'll come up with a name and a graphic and so forth, or maybe not. We'll just have to see.
