First, I wanted to apologize for the lack of a post on Tuesday. If you didn't catch it on the Facebook Page, I had some very strong feels about the government shutdown and I shared my personal story about "nonessential" government programs and their use on my main blog.
If you have a few minutes, I'd appreciate if you could hop on over to my main blog and give that a read. As we go into day three of this godawful thing, there are families that will need our help.
NOW! On to fun and happy and yay exciting news!
The season premiere of This Old House is tonight (check your local listings!) and the focus of this season is about three homes on the Jersey Shore destroyed by Hurricane Sandy last year. The crew follows three families as they rebuild their lives and their homes, and it promises to be not only a great home improvement show, but I think a great look into loss, kindness, and the tenacity of the human spirit.
Sooooooo in celebration TOH asked a few fans of the show to join host Kevin O'Connor in a Google Hangout today at 3PM and yours truly is one of those fans!
So! If you ever wanted to hear what my voice sounds like or see me in actual motion, today's the day! CLICK HERE to RSVP or join the Hangout and learn a little bit about Kevin, this season of TOH, and what it's like to help rebuild the Jersey Shore.
I think it'll be awesome.
Today. 3PM. Don't forget!
UPDATE: Here it is! Here it is!
Back to house stuff next week.
